Unplugged

UPDATE: 10pm EST and WE HAVE POWER!!! Hallelujah!!!!

Still without power... 9 days and counting. Who knew that a hurricane could hit so far north in an area so unprepared to deal with the repurcussions?

Very stressed and cannot establish a routine while waiting for power to be restored. Schools back in session today! Yeah!! That will help with more of a predictable schedule for the kids.

My mother almost died from an accidentaly blood pressure medicine overdose over the weekend... she is doing better now. Thank goodness her husband found her in time. Needless to say, she has fired her doctor who made this almost fatal mistake.

I feel like I am living a Calgon commercial and it is lasting longer than the show I am trying to watch! Will be back to blogging soon and I can't wait! Miss everybody! Can't wait to go back and read everybody's FFF HOPE posts!!

Say a prayer for us and many many other families who are still without power in Kentucky, Ohio, Texas and New Orleans... I am sure there are many more that are struggling even worse than we are.

Consider prayers being said from here Sarah!..What a scare with Mom taking to much medication. My goodness! I'm glad she is feeling better. I know all to well about being without power....so you have MUCH sympathy from me. I don't know about your house but it seems that each day that there was no electricity...our house got dirtier. Everything was just "Gross"

Were thinking of you!

Love and Hugs..

Oh, Sarah! This was not the update I expected today! I thought for sure you would have power by now. I can only imagine how difficult the past week has been - and then to have your mom get sick on top of it all. Thank goodness she is okay.

Sending prayers, hugs and love your way - and if I could I would send some power. :) Hoping it is up VERY SOON!

Hugs to you, my friend. May God hold you tight this week.

Oh My Goodness Sarah - what a mess and what a terrible thing to have happen to your mom! Thank God her husband was there is right!

I am so sorry that your power is still out - what a nightmare it must be like ... we take so much for granted ... I hope you are all doing well otherwise and we miss your updates and photos too!

Holy cow ! You still don't have power, you poor thing ! It was dreadful last weekend and we only went 3 days in Southwestern Indiana without it. I will be praying for your mom & your well being. I can't imagine what you are going through with 3 kids-you must be a real trooper !

Oh Sarah,
I am so sorry you have had such a hard time lately. But I am sooo glad your power is up and running. Yep, you go turn on every outlet, light and switch that you can find.

I am so glad your mom is doing ok. That sounds so scary. I am relived to know she is doing better.
Stay calm,
Lauren

I'm so glad you're mom's going to be okay! How scary!!

We're in Ohio and I just can't believe we lived a week without power from Hurricane IKE!! It's crazy! We were hit with the winds on Sunday evening and didn't get power back on until lunchtime FRIDAY! Crazy!!
