See how much hair she didn't have around the sides of her head? It was all on the top in a little bunch... but I love her eyes in this picture... so full of trust, wonder and love. We bonded so quickly... as if she knew that she was home where she belonged all along...

And this one is just pure heaven to me... I never saw a smile on her face in any pictures I received during the adoption process. But, when she came home, her smile was just enormous and so contagious. I think all we did was sit around and smile at each other for our 12 weeks of maternity/FMLA leave. Sigh... such a joyous time of my life!!

OK, misting up looking at these pictures. My, how my little bug has blossomed!!! I still feel so blessed each and every day to have her as my daughter.
Leave a comment if you would like me to link your FFF post (or if I find your FFF post first). What would you think of some "themed" FFF posts in the future? Could be a challenge or lots of fun!!

What a sweet little smile! Yes, those precious pictures of when they first came home!! Sophie is such a beautiful girl, and I am not just saying that because she is my future daughter in law! I was admiring how much she had grown in those pictures of her playing in the snow! She gets more beautiful every day!!! Her eyes just sparkle!!
I am up and running with my FFF this week-please link me!
WHAT A DOLL...Love both these pics
Those pictures are soooo cute! Please link my FFF too. I think the theme idea would be fun.
Pure Heaven indeed! What a great smile even from the beginning.
After a few weeks off we are back with FFF as well. Themed FFF would be fantastic!
What a smiley, sweet little one. I love the second picture.
Our FFF is up.
Adorable!
Themed FFF would be extra fun :)
Oh, she's beautiful! I love the one of her smiling and holding her arms out. It's funny that she only had hair on the top of her head when she came home. Ella only had hair on the sides when she first came home! Bald on top with LONG sideburns! Oh, I'm misting up, too. Our babies are not babies. They're little girls.
THEMES: Be brave guys - What about - The Worst Picture of Me Ever Taken???
I'll show you mine if you show me yours!!
Love and hugs,
Becca
Sarah,
Of course it was a joyous time in your life. When I imagine it...it must have been PURE JOY! I bet looking back it must have gone way to fast also. I wish someone would come up with a way for this time to go slower and they stay little for a longer time. Im still wondering where Jonathan's first year went. It for sure was a flash.
Sophie was so sweet as a baby just as she is now. She has grown just since her Birthday back in June.
Love and Hugs...
Sarah! Please hook me up to your FFF. I would love to take part in such a fun and great idea!
Go check out Lori's blog (Cohen's mommy) Great news!
Thanks!

OK... so I don't ever DO the FFF... but I look at all of them - and themed ones would be extra entertaining for me. :)

How absolutely precious! I just want to pick her up and hold her. Time sure does fly by! But Sophie has grown into such a beautiful, special little girl . . . and she still has that same sparkle in her eyes.
Have a great weekend with your little bug.
Love & FROG,
Heather
Your SBP says...
Your Sophie bug is sooooo adorable, I can't wait until we travel, hopefully in June or July and bring back our little boy. I'll be like ya'll and just sit and looke at him. He's gonna think we're nuts!!!!!
OH My goodness! I didn't realise she can home so young. Adorable pictures. Miss Sophie bug is as adorable as ever!
