Who ever said parenting wasn't for wimps is right! We've been dealing with some not so fun stuff around here lately, sorry no pics today.
Teenager - Social Life is quite demanding. Wish I could have that much fun every day of my life. We have instituted a one night out per weekend limit, but there always seems to be something that comes up that makes it a weekend spent in the car for me (and little ladybug). And... have I mentioned hormones???
Tweenager - Constant, constant, constant need for entertainment or the boredom ensues and makes the mom wish she could check herself into a peaceful retreat for a few years. Why on earth did we ever buy him all those toys and videogames if he won't play with them... ALONE!
Toddler aka Terrible Twos - somebody stole my sweet, smiley, never fussy little baby Bug and left behind a whining, clingy, temper tantruming toddler. I know I have already been through this twice before, but CALGON, take me away!!
All suggestions appreciated!!
**UPDATE: Sorry for my rant earlier, just feeling a bit "invisible" I guess. Then, I ran across this timely post at Mommy Monsters today and feel energized to continue doing the best I can for my family. Someday, my children may look back and realize their old mom wasn't so bad after all and all this work will DEFINITELY be worth it.

Oh, you know I feel for you! I have the same thing going on in my house, minus the toddler. I'm thinking about adding to the family, then everytime my 10 year old screams or has an attitude about something, anything (it doesn't really matter anymore) I think, hmm, maybe I'll wait until she's 18!!!
My teenager was told this weekend that I WOULD NOT be driving to his girlfriend's house to pick him up or drop him off, but guess who ended up driving there anyway to pick him up because he couldn't get a ride from anyone else?????
And the toys, oh the toys, my daughter will not play with anything by herself either, all of a sudden!!!
Okay, so sorry I couldn;t offer any suggestions, but atleast you know you're not alone!! Here's to hoping you have a beter day . . .

I have the tweens and "trying toddlers" and it is HARD !! With my tweens I tell them if they complain to much about being bored I will bring them back to the villiages in Guatemala -- and I am SERIOUS !! WIth the toddlers I either ignore them or put them in timeout in there cribs. Good Luck :)
I am only dealing with the terrible 2s (and 2 annoying dogs) at my house and that almost does me in some times. I can't even begin to imagine what to do with a tween or teen. YIKES!! Sarah, you are such a good Mommy that I know you'll figure out what to do. Sending you lots of hugs and prayers!!

Well, I can't relate to the tweens and teens, but I've heard that yes, it is all worth it, and your hard work will pay off. You have alot at once, I wish I could offer some advice or solutions...other than chocolate works for me...
I'm sure you're doing a great job and the best you can!!
I hope Calgon came and took you away...
thanks for visiting. I supose I am always with Caitlyn watching her versus Jacob and Chloe are old enough to play independently; so I shoot Caitlyn more since I am constantly with her. My mom says the same thing :)
I will post more of Jacob and Chloe as the fall approaches and we finally get out and get to have some fun in cooler weather.
Your Guatemalan Princess is lovely. I love you are going to meet your sponsor child! We have 2 in Guatemala through Compassion and I want to visit them one day.
I am sure it will be such a blessed experience for you. Can't wait to hear about it.
