She is holding her Piggie flashlight that she picked out for her bravery award last night.
My poor bug dislocated her elbow last night while playing a simple game of 1,2,3... Wheeee... you know... when you pick them up by their arms and swing them forward and listen to them squeal in delight. Last night... not so much.
At first, the Urgent Care Doctor determined first, that it was not broken, but Nursemaids Elbow (when the elbow comes out of the socket and has to be reset) and reduced the dislocation and sent us home. However, this morning, she woke up unable to move her arm and in alot of pain. After two trips to the pediatrician, she has her new stylin' sling and an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to see what is going on.
Please keep my little bug in your prayers that it can be fixed easily and she is out of pain. And, please... learn from my mistake... don't play the 1,2,3... Whee game!

Poor Sophie! Yes, we will be praying!! Let us know how things are going as soon as you get a chance! We have all played that game-yikes!! Hugs and kisses to sweet little Sophiebug! Hope she is feeling MUCH BETTER tomorrow!
Awww!..I am very sad tonight seeing our Bug like this!..It sure must hurt. I hope she sleeps well. Tell her her friends in "blogland" are thinking and praying for her to feel better soon.
Love and Hugs....
I did the same thing to Tibs when she was two (talk about mama guilt!). We were camping and sitting around the fire at night. She got up to walk somewhere when a dog barked. Her instinct was to fall towards the fire. I jumped up and grabbed her arm and...yeah, same thing. OUCH!
Poor bug! Give her a kiss from her "auntie"!
d:)

Poor Sophie (and mommy)! We thankfully haven't had any dislocations but my son has broken his arm twice so I feel your pain (no pun intended)! Let us know how it goes at the ortho.

Ouch! I hope she feels better soon. I will be praying. Yeah, I played a game like that with my AWANA kids...no injuries, but after reading your post, I don't think we will be doing that again.
Oh my goodness! Poor little bug - hope she feels better soon!
Oh! I am so sorry and I hope Sophie feels better soon. Although she even makes a sling look cute! :)
We play that game all the time . . . will think twice about it now! And we will be praying that all goes well at the appointment with the doctor.
Love & FROG,
Heather
So many of us play that game with out little ones, so don't feel bad. Her pictures are too cute even in a sling- so she looks happy, even though I am sure it was painful. I hope she gets better very soon.
Poor little Sophie! When I was little my older sister accidentally pulled my elbow out of socket -- very painful!!! Hope everything goes OK at the doctor's office today.
Poor Sophie~Bug!! Hope her elbow feels better soon!!

Oh I'm sorry! And she still has a pretty smile~ what a brave girl!
Happy Valentine's Day! :)
Poor little Sophie!
I was JUST reading about this in my Parenting magazine last night. I will sure think twice about picking her up by her arms. And to think, I took her to a Gymboree trial class last week and they have the parents swing the kids by the arms - not a good idea apparently!
So sorry, poor little thing!
I hope she feels better soon :(
Poor little bug!!!! I am praying that she is better PRONTO!
Ouch! I hope she feels better soon.

Poor little bug! She looks so sweet in her cast though! My nephew had a dislocation from the SAME thing - that darn fun game! My s-i-l felt so awful! Poor kids!
