Pigtails and Phones!
Finally, I am ready to share the surprise from the photo session. It only takes me a couple weeks to get my self organized!!
Anyways... once upon a time (circa 1970), there was a little blonde haired, blue-eyed, two-year-old little girl. Her mommy took her to the photo studio to get her pictures made. She dressed her up in a little seersucker dress and put her hair in pigtails with white ribbons. The result??
Sarah

Wasn't she cute?? They did not do many pictures in color back in the day - LOL!
Fast forward 24 years (circa 1994) and that little girl had her own little brown haired, blue-eyed little two-year old girl who she dressed up in a cute little watermelon dress and pigtails with white ribbons. She decided to take her to the photo studio and have her pictures made with a much smaller, but stylish telephone. The result??
Morgan

Fast forward 13 more years (2007) and that first little girl was blessed with a dark brown hair and brown-eyed little two-year old girl who she dressed up in a seersucker dress with pigtails and white ribbons. She took her to the photo studio and had her pictures made with the same stylish phone as her big sister used! The result??
Sophie

Now, all three pigtailed little two-year old girls are lined up next to each other on our "Wall of Shame". I am so happy that we have this tradition to carry forward with my granddaughters someday (I may even save the phone)!!

Dance Dance Revolution!!
Have you heard of it? It is a game that Morgan plays on her Playstation 2 and is in most all arcades. It is quite humorous to watch as the dancers have to follow these arrows on a screen and move their feet to the dance moves shown to get the best score! Morgan and her friends love it.
The other night, Morgan had a friend over to spend the night. Sophie was really into her Sissy big time this night and followed her all over the house. At one point, the girls disappeared downstairs to put on some socks since they were cold. I noticed that Sophie came up the stairs (which I hate to see her do by herself as I am terrified she will tumble down) and ran into her room, heard her drawer open and close, then her little feet running into the den with a huge smile on her face, proclaiming "My socks". I took her back down to the basement to be with the girls and before long, all three of them were coming up the stairs and Sophie was proudly wearing her socks, just like the big girls.
They decided to break out the dance mats and do some DDR. Bug was very interested in what they were doing and loves to dance!!
Sissy, can I try??

I know you put your feet on here like this

Show me how you do it, Sissy

OK, this is FUN!!

Yeah!! I did it!!

I think I need my own mat now... I got this figured out!!!

Ok girls... ready for the next song! Let's Dance!!

Thanks Sissy, I Love You!!

I wish their mommy had some sense of rhythm!! I just love my girls!!

Everybody Loves a Freebie
Two fellow bloggers are having some summer fun by holding giveaways on their blogs. Check them out for some fun!
Sig's blog is private, but you can e-mail her at SA3@aol.com and ask to be invited to read her blog and enter her contest! She has 3 drawings tonight and will be having more over the next 6 weeks. While you are there, you can check out her beautiful little one, Abby, also born in Guatemala like my little Bug. She is adorable and a beautiful addition to her family!
Another giveaway queen is Tricia at http://ourguatemalanbaby.blogspot.com. She is busy packing to bring home her precious Sofia from Guatemala who is OUT of PGN!! Please stop by to say congratulations and follow along on her journey to bring her Princess home!
I promise to update some posts this weekend!! I had some dental work done yesterday and am still a bit loopy from the anaesthetic and anxiety that I have from having dental work done. It didn't help my anxiety any by having the anaesthetic accidentally hit my optic nerve... I lost most vision in my left eye for about 30 minutes which really freaked me out! Don't mess with my lasik corrected eyes!! And... I have to go back in 3 weeks for them to put on a my new permanent crown!! I think I will have to take some ativan before I go back the next time

Happy Fourth of July!!

Just had to share some pictures of my little firecracker!! We spent the day at the pool and Mommy forgot to take out her camera! Luckily, her Godmother, Auntie Susan, did. Here she is in her little patriotic suit!!
And, she refuses to go past the first step both in the baby pool and the big pool. However, Mr. Magic (aka Sophie's Godfather "Uncle Gilly") was able to take her all the way into the shallow end of the big pool. The caveat was that she could not make eye contact with me, so I stayed hidden from view so that she could see that it is not so bad to be in the water. She just loves her Uncle Gilly!!
Happy Fourth of July!!

My Beautiful Baby - 25 3/4 months old
I took little Miss Bug out to Picture People last Thursday for two purposes... the first one I will post later as it is really fun and I need to upload a couple more pictures to make it work. The second reason was to get Passport style pictures taken so that I can apply for her new Certificate of Citizenship in her forever name. Here is the winner (sorry for the Zazzle watermark... I should have gone to Portrait Innovations and walked out with a CD, but I HAD to use my coupon - LOL):

Of course, my once mild mannered little Bug has really come out of her shell and really made the photographer work! She was everywhere and into EVERYTHING!!

I am not a huge fan of props... and these blocks were hard to pry away, but she managed to make it cute.

Here she was begging for the choo choo prop to sit on... don't you know that she got her wish, I just had the photographer shoot close-ups to cut out the train!

Little Miss Sparkle... she was really working it!!

This one was Morgan and Grant's favorite

If she weren't so darn cute, I know the photographer would have asked us to come back another time...

Are we done yet, Mommy?? Actually, she was cracking up hysterically and laughing into the floor (where does she come up with this stuff?)

Raise the roof!! Woo hoo!

Some days I look in those gorgeous brown eyes and I feel like the luckiest mom on the planet to have been chosen to be her mommy!!
One more shot of those eye lashes

Beach Babe
Although we just returned from vacation, I will post a dose of my Sophie~Bug hanging out in her Splash Pool in the front yard from a couple weeks ago until I get all my photos downloaded onto my computer. Notice the boo boo on her lip... she fell off the step on our sidewalk onto her face. Not very graceful!
This is the greatest, mom!!

I love my dolphin!

Is this a leak?? I better check it out!!

Maybe I will grow up to be a mermaid, mommy!

This is the coolest pool ever! I can play in it all by myself without floaties!!

Aloha!!
